Venn diagram

A diagram showing sets as overlapping circles. Use set notation to describe regions.

Definition

A ∪ B is the union (everything in A or B or both). A ∩ B is the intersection (in both). A' is the complement (everything not in A). The universal set is shown by the outer rectangle.
